                                                                                   Sales Policy

We want to make the buying process as smooth & transparent as possible, so we ask that you please read through the following and familiarize yourself with our policies, deposits, and pick up requirements before reaching out. 

 All of our donkeys are registered MDR with ADMS (unless otherwise noted) and will come microchipped with their registration paperwork & signed transfer. 

All donkeys sold will come up to date on vaccinations, deworming, & hoof care. They will come with a new halter & lead rope. 


*We have a sale contract that will be signed on all donkeys before money/donkeys are exchanged.
* A 30% deposit is required to hold your donkey until weaning or pickup. We do accept payments on foals until they wean. The remaining balance will need to be paid in full at pick up.
* If you are using a transporter to pick up your donkey, I ask for the payment to be completed in full before they arrive. That way we are not holding up the shipper waiting on payment transactions. 
* I accept Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, & cash. Venmo/PayPal must be sent friends & family or add 4% to use goods & services to cover the fees. 
* Deposits are nonrefundable unless the donkey would pass away in my care. If that happens, you will have the option to have your deposit refunded or choose from the next available foal. 
* I very rarely sell adult pregnant jennets, but if I do, they are sold as EXPOSED ONLY. No guarantees.   I will give you the dates the jenny ran with a jack. If you buy an exposed jenny & it does not turn out to be bred, I will offer a breeding back to one of my studs. 
* I give plenty of notice when I am about to wean your foal. We let our foals wean for at least 7-10 days before going to their new homes - please make sure you are ready! I am not able to hold & keep foals for weeks & months past weaning for free. A rate of $15 PER DAY will be added on to your balance if they are not picked up 14 days after weaning is completed. If you are no longer able to accommodate your foals, you will lose your deposit.
* If the buyer would like coggins & health certificates, the cost is the responsibility of the buyer, unless otherwise discussed. I need at least a 3-4 weeks' notice prior to pick up if these will be needed. Our vet books out pretty far, and I have to work around my full-time job schedule. Cost is typically $150.00 for farm call, plus the coggins, & health certificate. (amount is subject to change, just giving the average cost)
* We have shipped our donkeys from Florida to Washington and everywhere in between. I am happy to work with a shipper of your choosing, or we are happy to recommend one! 
* Transportation costs and arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer. 
* If you live local to me or within a couple hours distance, I may be able to haul for a fee. 
* I do not sell weanlings to homes without other donkeys. Donkeys need other donkeys for companions. Goats, sheep, etc are not a proper companion for a single young foal & have very different feeding requirements. We recommend keeping donkeys in same sex pairs or small groups of similar age. Please let me know if you would like assistance finding a pair.
